I just picked myself off the floor after having laughed for a week at your contridictory posts.

I'm laughing because you say on one had that open carry is not a threat, and is not to terrorize.  Then you write that you want to carry your pistol openly so that you can scare criminals and that it will be a deterrent.

Actually you were writing detourant, which makes it even more funny 'casue I think you meant deterrent.

And then you admit that it actually might cause a criminal to take you out first, since you will be showing your gun... what kind of detterent is that?

And Krakr, don't be ridiculus, I've already clarified for you that I mean "fight back" or "to defend."  So your argument about me looking for a fight just because I carry concealed has not only been silly, it is getting stupid.

Your odd twists on opinions is pretty damn funny to me (I’m referring to your recent questioning that I’d enjoy going around starting fights by simply having a concealed weapon).

I'm not going to sit here and argue with you about this. I know how to read English. You cannot debate the meaning of words and sentences. The dictionary has the final say on that. If you write one thing, how are we supposed to know you mean another? It's got nothing to do with "odd twists on opinions".  I was just trying to point out that you do the same thing that you "claim" Sniper is doing.

Your claim is ridicules since I have repeatedly wrote that it is safer and one can defend ones self more effectively by taking advantage of concealed carry.

If you had, you would have potenitally changed my opinion or had me rethink my point of view, but you have yet to succeed in that challange. 

Again, everyone has the right to CHOOSE.  And that's what the law should allow. 

And I have stated from day one, yes the there is a chance that a criminal could get the drop on you.  I think you really need to go back and read the posts.  Since you claim you read SO WELL. 

And it's great that you get such humor out of the posts.  Since you still have yet to go back and do some homework and get some f'in facts as to why Open is bad.  You only state speculation. 

You are the type of person we don't need making laws.  You don't want people to have the right to choose, but you say you do.  (in another post that you have written on)

Here, on this thread man - We're talking about life and death, how many good arguments do you need?  Hows this one to begin with:

I'm still waiting for you, Sniper, to have a good argument for open carry, and all you do is reference that open is a "deterrent" (then you write that as a deterrent it is not a scary threat - how can that be?) and that I need to do my "homework."

It is simply my opionion that open carry can be too easily construed as a threat and/or a disturbance to peace.

THAT'S IT.  So what - you don't think I should make laws? I'm not running for office, I have no desire to make laws.

I wasn't trying to counter your arguments. Personally, I think your arguments are stupid. I was stating my opinion and commenting on yours. I think each individual has the right to his own opinion and it is really not my place to try and change that. I am not trying to participate in your imaginary competition.

To play the terrorism card is an especially sad cop out. That is exactly what these so called "terrorists" want. I'm sure they would be happy to see that they have succeeded in your house. But that's not what we're talking about here.

Live, have a choice, and be free. Freedom starts with the choice. When you start taking away the right to choose, you start stripping away freedoms. Anyone that tries to argue against that is just a fool.

As I've stated before, I don't care which way you carry your gun. I just think that you should be able to do so in the way you see fit. Without someone else deciding for you.

Please, if it makes you feel better, don't use the word terrorize (or terrorism like you write - since the right to open carry vs. concealed carry has nothing to do with foreign invaders) ... use frighten, scare, threaten, intimidate, bully, etc (grab a thesaurus).

Open carry is just not necessary.  We can all carry and protect ourselves with concealed carry.

Of course I would like to change that. We are never going to change the minds of the people in charge today. Remember that response we got when we wrote the congressman? He thinks HE knows what's best for you and would have you do as HE sees fit. We are going to have to elect people who are like minded to our beliefs before anything changes.
