I just installed a new distro on my big computer.

Umbuntu Linix

It's pretty sweet. It's one of the heavier linux distro's but I got 3.2Gz processor & 1Gb RAM so It don't really matter.

Consistently fucked up. Consistently unsecure. Consistently being compromised by the browser and the media player. That's like being told your car is unsafe because of the radio. LMFAO

LOL. Please upgrade your radio software, a security issue has been identified that could allow an attacker to compromise your car through your 12" sub woofer. LMFAO

I'm telling you, you ought to try this umbuntu. I would be willing to bet that you could play your hockey in wine. I'm fixin to plug in that usb wireless adapter and I'd almost bet it will work. I haven't seen anything that windows could do that it couldn't. Actually, i've seen things that this will do, that windows won't. What can I say? I'm hooked on Linux. LOL

Thats cool, but its easier to make $ with Windows.

I dont really play hockey anymore anyway. So thats not really an issue. All the cool games are going to XBOX's and other console systems. Which sucks but i understand why, too much hacking when you have games on the PC...

I saw a few stories when I was searching for that Trend Micro deal that says TM is selling Anti-Virus for the PS3 and I would assume them or someone else makes one for the X-box 360.

Yep, I was right. I'm posting this from my wireless. There are 11 fucking networks around me, and it's not even outside. I put it on the balcony, and I'll probably pick up a few more. LMFAO

Ubuntu is a community developed, linux-based operating system that is perfect for laptops, desktops and servers. It contains all the applications you need - a web browser, presentation, document and spreadsheet software, instant messaging and much more.

They have a server edition also.

The Server Edition - built on the solid foundation of Debian which is known for its robust server installations ? has a strong heritage for reliable performance and predictable evolution.

Integrated and secure platform
As your business grows, so does your network. More applications need to be deployed and more servers are required. Ubuntu Server Edition offers support for several common configurations, and simplifies common Linux server deployment processes. It provides a well-integrated platform enabling you to quickly and easily deploy a new server with any of the standard internet services: mail, web, DNS, file serving or database management.

A key lesson from its Debian heritage is that of security by default. The Ubuntu Server has no open ports after the installation and contains only the essential software needed to build a secure server.
