If Sidious's story is true in ROTS that his master knew how to manipulate the metachlorians to create life (aka Anakin), why did they pick Shmii Skywalker to spawn him in?
I can understand why tatooine? The place was an out of the way shithole. Both anakin and luke said "I'm never coming back to this place again" as they left.
But why didn't they pick someone that had force sensitivity and not some random slave that the jedi may never run across. Unless, of course, it was all just a lie.
I don't think Sidious planned on Qui Gon finding Skywalker when he did, he was probably going to purchase Ani when he was older like was done with him before. The reason for choosing a slave on the Huts planet was that Jedi and Republic influence was very low there, hence more of a chance of him not being discoverd...
