Now that I have had time to watch the new movies again I guess they aint all bad. That is, other than Jar-Jar Binks and the Gungans in general. Yes, it is a little slow, but that is how the darkside moves, slow and shadowy. So I guess I must go back on my statement that I hate the first trilogy. I mean, it's Star Wars. LOL

I absolutly despise the new movies. When i heard that the 3 originals were the last three movies in the series, i imagined a much cooler first three then what was made.

That's what I said @ first. But you got to take into account, they are about annakin when he's being trained as a jedi. Think about when you were in school. Boring shit. I just think it's kool to see all the set up that the emperor did to gain control of the senate. A staged war and some major deception. He even had the jedi pick up the storm troopers for him. That's kool as hell, I think. They're just like the older movies, the more you watch them, the more things you catch and see. Plus there are some kool lightsaber battles and some kool space battles, too. I also think it's kool to see all the ships when they were brand new. LOL

What problem with the cast? Obi Wan was played great by Ewan McGregor, the Emporer was played by the same guy as in the originals, Yoda again same just cgi instead of puppets, Annakin was supposed to be like he was, Liam Neilson did fine as Qui Gon Jin, and yea Padme and Mace both sucked I'll give ya that but the rest are good. All you refer to is Jar Jar and his only dominate role was in the first. He was in for all of 5 mins in ATOC and less than that in ROTS.. Have you even seen any of them, because frankly you have no basis for you dislike of them I can see besides saying the casting was off which frankly I disagree.

Yea, I agree. Jar-Jar sucks shit. All the gungans blow! They only play a small part in the whole scheme of things, and we get to see Darth Maul get chopped in half. Just like in ROTJ. Yes, the ewoks suck, but the freaking emperor shoots lightning out of his fingers and Darth Vader chunks him down a bottomless shaft! I mean come on funk. You got to give a little to get a little. LOL

LOL Jar Jar sucks doo doo out of a giant shithole.... ROTJ is pretty fucking cool too, I love all the original 3. The Ewoks shit I liked when was a kid, only when I got older did I realize how silly they were. One of the major arguments about what would have made the movies better is if both Darth Maul and Qui Gon had survived TPM. People say to have Maul replace Grevious and Dooku, that having new villians in every movie didn't build up enough development with them and allow them to show their prowess as Sith Lords...That having Maul survive would have added a continuity to the Dark Side besides just Sidious and we could have him in more battles with the Jedis. I agree with this partially, I mean all of a sudden in ROTS we get Dooku killed in the first 10 mins. As cool as his death was we shoulda got to see him atleaste fucking kill some Jedis.... No instead we get clone troopers killing all the Jedis and we don't even get to see any of Annakin killing the Jedis at the temple.... This was just more of Lucas not catering to the fans but more to his PG rating.... The prequels are great stand alone sci fis, but as part of the Star Wars trilogy they don't hold up....

This is my biggest bitch about ROTS. I have always loved Darth Vader and after seeing ROTS, I remember telling my friend, "when the hell have you ever seen a storm trooper kill a jedi? That just don't make sense." Lucas could have dispensed with the love story. Annakin likes Padme' and knocks her up. We get the picture. I think that time would have been spent better on maybe annakin hunting down a few pesky jedi that slipped away or maybe some of his sith training. As it sits now, the only jedi Vader ever killed were a bunch of kids in the temple and Obi-Wan after he's old as hell. That sucked and I was very pissed. But like you said, the new trilogy doesn't hold a candle to the original.

OK, I'll agree with that. But my disapointment in them overshadows there value as a stand alone sci fic.

I look @ them like the first two movies in the "man with no name" trilogy. They aint as good as "the good, the bad, & the ugly", but what really is?

Talking about the surgery to save Vader after Mustafar. Per Sidious' requests, Vader was kept awake and aware throughout the entire ordeal. I think that's one of the koolest things in the new trilogy. And his reaction when Palpatine tells him he killed Padme'.
